Hi,
Thinking ahead, I would like some opinions on the current implementation of "Daily Statistics". Frankly, I don't like it. It feels like bloat, and I want to do away with it. Instead, I want a much simpler implementation called something like "Session Target", which would work like this:
1) Enter a deadline date in "Project Target" (optional). 2) Upon opening "Session Target", Scrivener will work out how many words you need to write that day, assuming you will write the same number of words each day to reach your target word count on the deadline. 3) You could change the "Session Target" to anything you wanted for that session, of course. 4) There would be an "Update" button to recalculate the session target, in case you leave Scrivener open for days.
I feel this would be a much more streamlined and sensible approach than the history table that gets saved to disk at the moment.
I would love to hear the opinion of users on this, though - is anyone using Daily Statistics?
Thanks, Keith
P.S. This decision won't be made until 0.21b. The next beta, 0.20b, is nearly ready, and will be out before Christmas.

I had a go at getting daily statistics to work, but since the NaNo profiles were updated to provide decent wordcount tracking I didn't try very hard.
The deadline date sounds like a sensible implementation, though.
