I would very much like to see the ability to have duplicate folder and document names when they are under a different hierarchy. At this time, it appears that it is not possible. For example, if I'm writing a paper and want this folder hierarchy:
Discussion -> Social conditions-> Causes->Political and Discussion -> Social conditions-> Intervention->Political
it is not possible (causes and intervention are siblings and both would, ideally contain children named "political").
In fact, I cannot have the same name repeated anywhere in the same project.
If this has been suggested or addressed previously, I apologize.

This is currently not possible because of the internal file structure. If you ctrl-click on a .scriv file in the Finder and select "Show Contents", you will see that each of your documents is saved as a distinct RTFD file within the .scriv file in the file system. For simplicity, folders remain virtual. Thus, two files cannot have the same name, or they would overwrite one another. However, this will change in the next beta. I am changing the internal file structure, so from the next beta onwards, you will be able to do exactly as you wish - there will be no limitation on duplicate file names. The next beta is a couple of months away, though, because of the major overhauls going on.

Fair enough However, the current beta will expire on March 15, which is exactly one month away. That's a tight deadline ... I just moved a huge project from Ulysses to Scrivener, and I'd have a serious problem if I couldn't access it after March 15. Will you make another version of 0.2b available with a later expiration date? Or even better, release a beta with a subset of the new features and design changes you're working on?

Don't worry. I promised that beta-testers will always have a working beta, and so they will. If the new beta isn't ready for mid-March, then I will re-release the current version with a later expiry date. And the new version will be worth waiting for.
