Hello,
Scrivener 0.1.2b is now available for download - check your e-mails for the link.
From "New stuff" in Tutorial.scriv:
• Full screen has a new keyboard shortcut: it is now Alt-Cmd-F rather than F8 (in line with CopyWrite). The reason for the change is that certain Powerbooks have F8 reserved as a system key.
• Text Options are now available through the Text menu – these allow you to switch off (or on) AutoCaps etc.
• Daily Statistics have been updated to work on a checkpoint system. This is still experimental, so let me know what you think via the forum.
• Status is no longer a preference but project-based. Custom statuses can be set via the View menu now, as with labels. (NOTE: internally, status and labels now work quite differently, although you won’t notice it. It does mean, however, that it is important that you upgrade to this version, as this version will convert the old to the new. The conversion feature – which you won’t actually notice – will be removed from the release version for speed reasons; thus you should update now.)
• Full screen mode has been overhauled (and zoom is now remembered).
• Spell checker is now on by default, works as it should do in the ctrl-click menu, and its state is saved between sessions.
• More options have been added in the menus, including the ability to filter the table in Binder View by status or label, and the ability to append selected text to another document.
• Converting all documents to default draft font no longer loses formatting.
• Group and Ungroup can now safely be used – bugs have been fixed.
• Option in View menu to show index card label colours (in Storyboard mode) – this is a precursor to my adding the ability to edit status/label in all view modes, which is currently lacking.
• Various other small fixes and additions – you’ll just have to play around.
I look forward to reading your comments.
Enjoy!
Keith
