this is the most elegant d**n "beta" i have ever seen, and just lovely writing. as a long-time mac user, i make it a point to *never* RTFM, and am quite taken aback to find myself reading *this* tutorial with pleasure. somebody here is not all geek. <gr>
have only just begun, but perhaps because it is humanly written, am finding self understanding the directions. of course, some will be familiar to users of devon apps and perhaps others.
i dunno. do i dare dream, are you really in the process of pulling it off. if so, you shall be mentioned in my next novel. this may sound funny, but i haven't been able to write in the more homemade or homespun writing apps. like trying to work in a room where you're not really comfortable. and, of course, forget ulysses and other absurdities.
in other words, zo happy. zo send thanks for letting me beta.

Thanks! It's very nice to have some positive feedback - I'm currently going through the Bug Hunt forum with horror. Glad you like it, KB

I have to agree with zo. I have been logging a lot of bugs, but the underlying structure of the application is the most comfortable I have felt in any writing-specific tool. It's a really nice program, and I am really enjoying using it.
Thank you.

Thanks. This is good to hear - the number of bug reports and suggestions is both brilliant and overwhelming. Just about every suggestion I have had so far is going to help improve the program, but it is quite disheartening to see the "to do" list grow so much in one day!

OK, I was all set to use Nisus Express for NaNo this year - but this is good enough for me. So, switching over. Full screen, a lot of nice touches, great tutorial. This is actually beta software worth providing feedback for. (Unless I'm just procrastinating... is that why you're getting so much beta feedback...?)

Keith
I am amazed at the quality of this product.
As we discsussed in our private conversations, i have an extensive (over 10 years) experience in software testing. So you might wonder, why am i not submitting bugs?
First i'm not running into any. I'm sure if I paid attention i probably would catch something, but it's a _good_ thing when users aren't paying attention to the tool they're using, and only pay attention to their project. Moroever (and this is the second reason) i have a philosophy that quality is not perfection, it is value. And this product is giving me so much value, that I'm just absolutely enthusiastic about it. It wouldn't take much to sell it to me, even in today's beta state.
(But i'll submit a couple of bugs so i can get the released version for free, anyway ;D )
Good job, you should be very proud of yourself. Leo
