Could we have a forum to be happy about Scrivener? I've been really enjoying it but almost everything I've written has been negative, which makes me sad.

I don't know about a forum, but I have wanted somewhere to tell Keith: Great work! Keep it up. Don't get discouraged by our finding difficult bugs or making impossible requests. Just take a deep breath and remember that we wouldn't be bothering with this if we weren't so impressed with Scrivener's potential. Cheers.

Ditto, that! It is easy to get overcome with the initial wave of bugs of "dire" feature requests. Know that what you've already produced is already my second favourite writing app -- and I am excessively picky. The only reason why it isn't the first is lack of polish -- which is only to be expected in an initial beta release.
So, good work! I was very impressed with the way it handles, and seeing some of the screenshots and descriptions of how things will be in the near future, I think this is really going to be a winner.
Glad to be on board.

I'm happy about Scrivener!!! I'm really impressed with this program. I don't even want to think about the time and effort that has gone into creating this. I just hope that I can be of some help in making Keith's job easier.
Don't get discouraged man, and keep working hard. It's all going to be worth it.

Thanks all, much appreciated - nice to have some positive feedback on top of the bug reports. Amber - I can only aim to make it your no. 1 in the future, but hey, I know you're a Ulysses junkie, and I have nothing but respect for those Blue-Tec guys (as you will note in Scrivener's credits). Thanks. I'm about to post an updated beta with a fix for the editing crash very soon...

I have to agree with everyone here--I really like Scrivener, much more than I thought I would looking at the description and the screencaps. But actually playing with it, I've found it works relatively intuitively, and so far, there hasn't been anything I've wanted it to do that it hasn't been able to. So thanks for this fantastic application, Keith!

Yes Keith - this is a great product. I wish you all the best as you go through the beta period. You may hit a low as the weight of all the bugs hit you, but keep at it. This really is a good product you have created.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely, Keith. Spent a bunch of time with the app on a plane trip yesterday, and I have to say, it's really the perfect tool for me. I prefer the interface and combination of features over other similar programs--even at its current stage of development. It provides a great combination of structure and flexability, and frankly, would be great for other planning or research applications and not just writing.
Thanks for your efforts.

I want to chime in here and say how floored I was when going through the tutorial at the impressive state the program is already in. I'm so excited about using Scrivener for NaNoWriMo that I have to keep myself from cheating the start time. Also, outside of novels/short stories, you ought to send out some feelers towards marketing it in film & television -- the ability to keep research, characters and places all right near text documents of storyline is something I've already started to use for my day job. Obviously it would have to be a tool used in addition to Final Draft (or Movie Magic Screenwriter), since Scrivener doesn't (yet!) support intergration of those kinds of files, but there's something really quite stunning here, even pre-release, and much like my TiVo or my Treo, I'm having difficulty remembering what on earth I did with my scattered notes before Scrivener.

Yes, I'm very happy with the app so far, too. :-) I'm only noting things because we've been asked, not because I'm especially unhappy (and so far the few 'bugs' I've found have turned out to be already identified by others before I did, LOL!)
It's also very nice to be able to give direct feedback to the creator(s), unlike certain gi-normous software corporations who just try to upsell people on their "bugs" as being new feature sets. :-P
Keep up the great work! :-)

Just another note to say how happy I am with Scrivener still. The chapter synopses work very well in guiding my writing for a session. 7k into my nano and it's going great!
