Hello Keith,
I think I mentioned this in another wish list post, but let me tell you again how much I LOVE split view.
I store several PDFs, RTF files, web clippings under research, which I drag individually to the split screen. Any way to select all of these to drop them in to split screen? I've tried shift+clicking about five PDFs and could drag them to the split screen, but only the last one on the list shows up.

Hi,
Not quite sure what you mean here... If you mean is there a way to have open lots of documents in a split screen, then the answer is no. The split view only supports looking at two documents at a time. Anything else could start getting very cluttered... If you really need to look at a few, you could just double-click them and open them all in new windows, I guess.
Not sure if this is what you mean, though...
Thanks, Keith

My bad...I wasn't very clear.
What I mean is the following: in split screen view, I have the article I'm composing at the bottom and the PDFs and other materials I'm viewing at the top of the screen.
I'd like to select a bunch of PDFs from the research folder and drag them to the top screen so I can scroll through them. So far, I can only drag one at a time. However, I can select several files from the research folder and can drag them to the top screen, but as I mentioned in my previous post, only the last file selected appears in the top screen.

If I understand you correctly, what you are suggesting is that the PDF files somehow get "merged" into one long document, right? Unfortunately, I don't know if this is possible. The top view is really only for looking at one document - therefore one PDF. You can drag more than one because you can drag and drop to move documents around, so I can't limit dragging to one file at a time. So the file that gets placed in the view will indeed only one of the dragged documents.
One of the reasons a "merge into one" sort of behaviour doesn't make sense is that it wouldn't work, say, if you dragged an image, PDF and text file and dropped it at the top. There would be no way they could all fit together to be looked at because they are all different types...
Hope that makes sense, Keith

If I understand you correctly, what you are suggesting is that the PDF files somehow get "merged" into one long document, right? No, I'd still like to keep them separate and use the arrows to scroll through the individual files at the top pane. Sorry if I'm not making myself clear. Here's what I do when I use the compose pane: 1) click on compose view and select one of the documents I have under draft. 2) click on the split view horizontal button 3) drag one PDF stored under the research folder to the top pane's menu bar. It appears on the top pane. 4) drag another PDF stored under the research folder to the top pane's menu bar. I can now use the arrows to scroll back and forth between the two PDFs in the top pane. 5) repeat steps 3+4 as needed. What I'd like to do is select several PDFs from the research folder (using shift+click or option+click) and drop them into the top pane's menu bar, so I don't have to do this for each individual PDF. I don't need them all to merge, since I can use the arrows to scroll back and forth between the individual PDFs. I tried to select several PDFs and drag them to the top pane's menu bar, thinking perhaps it would add them as individual PDFs, but it only added one PDF.

Ah, okay - now I understand what you mean. A very reasonable request. I'll put it on the "to do" list. Sorry about the misundersanding.
