Aggh! Maybe I'm losing my mind but I don't recall any words coming up as flagged for spelling in the earlier Beta. I've just whipped up 2,000 words on my Nano this afternoon with flags a-plenty under my words. (By flags, I'm referring to squiggly red underlines, BTW).
As of today, *all* my UK spellings are being flagged, and I couldn't find some way to disable that annoyance within Preferences. Is the option to kill that someplace else?
When forced to use M$, I just ignore it because I know I'm right and sometimes it is more hassle than it is worth to change settings, but I'd love a UK-made app to default to *proper* spellings, please! Pretty pretty please! :-)

Just go to Edit > Spelling... and select "British English" as the language. Yep, it drives me nuts too. You can switch spell-checking off through the same menu, if you want, and it will be remembered between sessions.

Thank you thank you thank you. :-) (Did you consider titling those options Real English and Rebellious Colonial Usage? ;-) )

Hey, you got British English spellings in the menus, didn't you - I'm sure I'll get grief about that when it gets to a proper release.
