Hi,
Whilst any feature requests are of course still welcome, the feature set for Scrivener 1.0 is now locked. (If I don't lock it now, it will never be finished...) The feature set is full but hopefully without bloat.
Features for 1.0 will be much the same as can be found in Scrivener Gold, except with a prettier, streamlined, more Tiger-like and much more intuitive interface. There are a couple of minor additions and numerous improvements to the individual components (storyboard view, in particular, is much improved).
Two features currently in Scrivener Gold will not make it into the final release of 1.0: Scrivener 1.0 will be a single-window application, so you will not be able to open items in new windows; there will be no targets in Scrivener 1.0, whether project-based or session-based. After mulling it over, targets just seem like bloat to me at this point - the word count does just as well. Of course I will consider revising this after 1.0 is released depending on user feedback and my own use of the app.
All the best, Keith

Neither of those sound like a big loss to me:
1/ separate windows - this is something I use in Scrivener Gold, but if the interface is cleaner then I doubt I will miss it
2/ targets - never used these. I already have widgets and a spreadsheet and the NaNoWriMo progress meter to keep me on track, so I never felt them to very useful.
Looking forward to seeing the revised tool!

Yes. I always felt the progress meter was a bit "much," too. Especially now that Nano has rolled out their Flash progress chart. Not sure how I feel about no multiple windows. As long as there is a good one-key combination way to switch between your currently working documents -- I'm happy. Like how you can Cmd-opt-left/right arrow to change tabs in Ulysses.

Wouldn't be without them in a web browser now!
