When I exported my draft as a text file, I lost my quotes. That is the actual character ' " ' was lost. The text within the quotation marks remained.
I am checking at the moment, but I opened the TXT file on a Windows machine, and the quotes are not there. However I did open the file with a text editor and there is no character embedded in there that is simply not displaying on a Windows machine.
So it looks like a bug.

Could you try opening it up in TextEdit and see if it is okay there? I wonder if it is something to do with "Smart quotes"... (You will be able to turn smart-quotes off in a future beta, obviously.)

Just got home and checked on the Mac. The file still has no quotes when I open with TextEdit. And I have re-exported and double checked. No quotes. Sorry.
