I wrote a paragraph in compose view, then put the computer to sleep. Several hours later, I started it up again, then after a bit switched to fullscreen. Typed enough to require a scroll bar in compose view but not in fullscreen. Switched back to compose view - there was no scrollbar. I clicked in the text window and used the arrow keys to move down through the text, and the cursor disappeared off the bottom of the window and text did not scroll. Saved the file, no scrollbar.
Click to another file, no scrollbar. Back to fullscreen in the file I'd been working on, add more text to get a scrollbar there - no scrollbar, no scrolling text, the cursor disappeared off the bottom of the screen as before.
Exit Scrivener, restart, re-open file - scrollbar is there. Tried to reproduce by pasting the same text in a new file in fullscreen mode, but the scrollbar shows up as it should.
In the file when I saw the bug, I did switch back and forth between fullscreen and regular modes several times (to save it, mainly, and used other programs while in regular mode) and put the computer to sleep for a while, maybe that's relevant? Also, Scrivener had been running for a couple of days, I never exited it, I just put the computer to sleep.
rev.1 chicklet iBook (500MHz G3), OS 10.4.3.
If I see this again I'll note down exactly what I'd been doing, but pasting in text doesn't seem to be enough to trigger it, so it isn't just the amount of text...

Was your text zoomed at all? Did you change the % zoom of text when you were in/out of full screen mode?
I ask because this sounds like the bug I am currently working, which I noticed myself a few days ago, whereby scaling text can cause the scrollbars to go crazy, sometimes with empty scrollbars in full screen, sometimes with too much space at the bottom of text...
Thanks, Keith

Nope, I haven't used the text zoom since I played with it briefly while going through the tutorial. The default size works fine for me.

Interesting... Hopefully still related, though. Will look into it...
