Sorry for the inexpressive title, but that's actually also a 'problem' in Scriv: The document's title in the navigation column on the left is limited to 20 characters, or rather, as many words as can fit without exceeding twenty characters, even though (on my screen) there is plenty of space for more. It would also be helpful for the titles to at least be able to be longer, as I often name documents "Chapter XVII - as told by This Or That Character", which gets cropped to "Chapter XVII - as told".

Hmm, this shouldn't be a problem... Document titles are only limited by what can be saved on the file system. I just tried this out and had no problem in renaming a document to something long. I think maybe it is a drawing bug rather than a renaming bug. After renaming (or creating) the document, try moving the split bar to widen or narrow the column. Does the text suddenly appear? I think the text is there but not getting shown. Please let me know either way so that I can look into it. Thanks, Keith

Keith, I'm getting this same issue in Compose view. If I have a long title, no matter how far to the right I move the bar, the "hidden" words (the ones past that "whole words within 20 characters" limit) in the names never appear. This doesn't happen in the other views, though. Does that help you isolate it?

Yes, this is a known bug at the moment. I thought I had fixed it, but my workaround causes problems too. It's annoying. It's actually nothing I am doing; it seems to be just a weird resizing glitch in Apple outline/table views. You can fix it yourself simply by adjusting the splitter slightly. I will try to find a better workaround, though...
